Consultation on changes to Bramley parish council boundary

Ravenfield Parish Council have trigged a “community governance review” into the boundary between Ravenfield Parish and Bramley Parish.

The proposal is to transfer a section of land between Moor Lane South and Lidget Lane from Bramley Parish to Ravenfield, as indicated in the map above. Part of the site (labelled LDF0774 in the map) is earmarked for development. If houses are built on the site, whichever parish the site falls within will receive some financial income as a result, under the terms of the borough’s local plan. The resulting homes would also pay a parish precept into whichever parish they fall into.

Bramley Parish councillors are opposed to the change.

The first stage of the consultation will run until the end of February 2020. The borough council will then consider submissions and produce a proposal. That proposal will be subject to a second round of consultation later in 2020.
