Help to shape the council’s approach to licensed activity

Until the 27th September, Rotherham Council is asking for information and views from residents as the first stage in reviewing its statements of policy for licensing and gambling.

The policies cover areas such as the sale of alcohol and licensed premises, music and entertainment and hot food takeaways. Whilst the council is bound by national rules and legislation, it is also required to take into account local needs and circumstances.

We know that the night time economy has a significant effect on our community and your views and experiences – whether positive or negative – can help to inform the council’s approach in the future.

You can read the Cabinet report which sets out the process and gives more details here.
