Do you have the heart to foster?

As part of this year’s Fostering Fortnight, we’re celebrating the foster carers in our community who provide incredible, safe and loving homes to children who need them.

The sad thing is, we don’t have enough local fostering families, meaning that children who need homes are sometimes placed a long way away from the borough. That can be really difficult for the children, for their friends and family locally, not to mention expensive to the council.

The video above has been specially produced by the council to highlight the amazing things families are already doing, and to ask: do you have the heart to foster? If you would like to find out more, or want to point someone else in the right direction, there’s more information at rotherham.gov.uk/fostering.
