Reflecting on the Tory challenge to councils: Emma’s conference speech

Cllr Emma Hoddinott spoke last week at the Labour Party conference about the challenges facing councils under this Tory government: staff facing real terms pay cuts, budget cuts even as we try to rebuild services and keep children safe in Rotherham, and how the Bedroom Tax forced one of our residents from her home. She also paid tribute to John Healey MP’s work to increase the number of afordable homes.
