Official opening of Flanderwell Autism Resource

It was great to be able to attend the official opening of the new autism unit at Flanderwell Primary School on October 17th.

The unit is already supporting three children of primary school age, and has capacity to support up to ten at any one time. It is a much needed facility, which helps children from across the borough with autism in a positive, purpose-built, specialist environment when they may have really struggled to learn in school.

At the opening, we were able to hear from both staff and students about the difference that it is already making.
