Bramley Aldi planning application

aldiapplication

Aldi have now formally submitted a planning application to the council for a new store on Bawtry Road at Bramley.

You can see the application in full by clicking here, and comments and/or objections should be sent to Planning officers at the council via the details given here and citing reference number RB2014/0230.

The closing date for comments is 12th March, with a decision currently expected before the end of May.

We do intend to make our own comments on the application, so please do let us know what you think. So far the response we have had, and have seen in response to Aldi’s own community consultation, has been largely positive although not without some concerns. We are pleased, however, that they have changed the plan to allow HGV deliveries from Main Street and that they are now indicating these would always be via the dual carriageway.

UPDATE: You can read our formal response to the planning application by clicking here.
