It’s time to freeze that bill!

It’s this time of year when many people are worried about receiving their biggest energy bill of the year. And it’s not surprising – household energy bills have risen by £300 a year on average under this government.

freeze that bill 2At the same time, the profits of some of the energy companies have hit records levels. It doesn’t seem right, does it?

Last year Ed Miliband promised that the next Labour government would freeze energy bills until 2017, giving time for MPs to change the way the energy companies work.

Our MP, John Healey, has also been in contact with the Chamber of Commerce as it emerged that companies are finding energy to be their second biggest overhead.
