A new Aldi for Bawtry Road, Bramley?

We understand that around 1,500 local residents have been contacted by the supermarket chain Aldi and their representatives seeking views about their proposal for a new store on Bawtry Road at Bramley.

The proposal would be for a new build 1,000 sqm store, creating up to 40 jobs. It would be located on the site currently occupied by the lighting and conservatory shops, and the garage on Main Street. Aldi are proposing that there would be access to the store both from Bawtry Road and Main Street.

They are holding a consultation event for local residents to have their say on the plans on Thursday 23rd January, between 3pm and 7pm, at Bramley Working Mens Club (on Cross Street).

We’d also like to hear your thoughts, so if you have a view on the proposal either way, or you’d like to see it altered, please do get in touch and let us know.

Any plan would require planning permission before it can go ahead.
