Join us at Rotherham Show this weekend & stand up for Rotherham Hospital

hospital campaign

We’ll be down at Rotherham Show this weekend in Clifton Park asking residents to sign up to support a new campaign we are running alongside the trade union Unison, showing our support for Rotherham Hospital. The next few months could be a crucial time for the hospital as management and the government’s NHS regulator make big decisions about how to cut £50 million from its budget and decide which services they think will be viable over the next few years. It’s a really important time for all of us to stand up for our local NHS services and against the government’s agenda of cuts, privatisation and fragmentation.

Launching the campaign, our MP John Healey said;

“Our NHS is under pressure and under threat because the government have cut budgets and forced through a massive £3 billion reorganisation so they can bring in more private companies.

“Our Rotherham Hospital is being forced to cut £50 million from its budget in three years, with costly consultants hired to make the plans.

“We’re fighting to keep our local services, the best care for patients and an NHS that remains free at the point of use, based on need.”

If you’re around, please come and say “hello” and add your support.

You’ll also be able to follow the campaign and pledge your support online via saveourservices.co.uk.
