Elton Hall Hotel planning application

elton hotel

Following the closure of the Elton House Hotel, the council has received a planning application from a developer to transform the existing buildings into residential accommodation; two flats, four ‘studio’ apartments and eighteen bedsits with shared kitchen/living/dining space.

We have been contacted by some local residents concerned that, although the usual notifications have been issued by the council, the application had not been widely publicised.

Until June 14th (a week on Friday as we write), residents can make any comments, views or objections you may have to the council’s planning officers to help them and the Planning Board determine whether or not to grant planning permission.

You can also inspect the application in person by appointment at Riverside House, or view it online by clicking here.

To contact planning officers to register your comments, or to make an appointment to view the plans, please call 01709 823835, or write to: Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Development Management, PO Box 652, Rotherham S60 9DE. Please quote the reference number for this application: RB2013/0664.
